Design & Technology Intent

At Manor Infant and Nursery School we are designers and technicians!

Design and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. Skills will be taught progressively to ensure that all children are able to learn and practise in order to develop as they move through the school. Design and Technology allows children to apply the knowledge and skills learned in other subjects. Children’s interests will be captured through topic-based learning, ensuring that links are made in a cross curricular, purposeful way, giving children motivation and meaning for their learning.

The children will be given opportunities to build their resilience and resourcefulness by reflecting upon and evaluating past and present design technology.
